PURPOSE: A luminous antenna for portable radio telephone equipment is provided, in which light emission is performed by an electrical signal of high frequency caught at the antenna, to thereby reduce parts count and allow assembly work to be easily performed. CONSTITUTION: A luminous antenna comprises an electrically conductive connector(14) connected to the main body of radio telephone equipment; a light emitting unit(18) having a light emitting diode(38) and a circuit element arranged onto a circuit board(36) where a conductive pattern is formed; an antenna wire shaped as a coil spring; and a cap covering the antenna wire and the light emitting unit, and which is coupled to the connector. The circuit board has an antenna wire connecting portion where the conductive pattern is partially exposed. The antenna wire and the light emitting unit are electrically connected by allowing an end of the antenna wire contacts the antenna wire connecting portion.
