PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refractory material for continuous casting and its manufacturing method on which a moisture preventive measure is applied for a period from immediately after the manufacture to the users' consumption. SOLUTION: The invention describes a refractory material for continuous casting which is coated with a resin film such as polyethylene resin at not more than 200 degrees C of fusing point on its surface and the wall thickness of the resin film is specified in the range of 0.10-4.00 mm and which can prevent moisture in the air from intruding into the refractory material so as to prevent moisture absorption or digestion over the long term.
