PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To conduct evacuation-travel for a forklift truck after detecting disconnection of a potentiometer to stop the forklift automatically. SOLUTION: When a judging part of a CPU 24 determines the presence of the disconnection in one of the both potentiometers 12, 15, a picking lift truck is automatically and surely stopped because a travel motor 34 is stopped and a braking means 35 is driven forcibly at the same time. Even when the lift truck is stopped, for example, in the central part of a passage to disturb passing in generation of the disconnection, a direction of the lift truck is changed to move the truck to a position free from the disturbance by bringing the CPU 24 into an evacuation mode by an operation of an evacuation switch 38, and by operating an operation knob 39 in the disconnection of the steering wheel side potentiometer 12. |
