PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressor of a nonlinear color gamut width using a multiple convergent point enabling color printing matched with the color of an image expressed on a display device. SOLUTION: The compressor of the nonlinear color gamut width is provided with a color information transforming means 210 for transforming the coordinate inputting variables of red, green and blue forming the image of a color display and input device 100 to luminance L*, chroma C* and hue h* by using three stimulation values X, Y, Z and the color coordinate system of CIE L*, a*, b*, a color gamut width compressing means 220 for nonlinearly compressing the color gamut width of luminance based on color information received from the means 210 and compressing the color gamut width of luminance-chroma toward the multiplexed convergent pint, and a color information inverse transformation means 230 for inversely transforming the variables of luminance L*, luminance - chroma L*-C* and the hue h* compressed by the means 220 to the color coordinates of cyan, magenta, yellow and block, which can be used by an output device 300, again.
