PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display device in which a uniform light quantity can be obtained all over the region of a liquid crystal panel. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display device is equipped with a liquid crystal panel 1, a planar transparent light guide plate 3 disposed on the front face of the liquid crystal panel 1 to guide the light entering from the light source 4 to exit to the liquid crystal panel 1, and a reflection plate 5, disposed on the back face of the liquid crystal panel 1 to reflect the light passing through the light guide plate 3 and the liquid crystal panel 1 to the direction to liquid crystal panel 1 and the light guide plate 3. The light source 4 is disposed near at least two side faces 12a, 12b of the side faces of the light guide plate 3, and at least one face of the light guide plate 3 is formed into a rugged condition, corresponding to each of the light source 4 to exit the light from the light source 4 to the liquid crystal panel 1. |
