<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To transmit an enciphered IP packet by an ATM cell and to easily perform decode checking without increasing a packet length with no problems even though an enciphered IP packet not decoded is flown onto a network mistakenly. SOLUTION: A cryptocommunication protocol structure used in the case of enciphering an IP packet 10 on the Internet and transmitting the IP packet by using the ATM cell, is divided into layers such as an IP layer, an AAL5 layer and an ATM layer from an upper hierarchy, and a Sec layer is set between the IP layer and the AAL5 layer. It is possible to provide an enciphering function of the IP packet, the distribution function of a cryptographic key used to encipher the IP packet or information with which the cryptographic key is generated, an encapsulation function for the IP packet, the normality confirmation function of the decoding of the IP packet, etc., by setting the Sec layer.</p> |
