PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent misoperations such as the ejection of recording media by enabling an electronic camera which can communicate with external equipment through a communication interface to present information notifying a user that communications are in progress without providing any additional dedicated means. SOLUTION: A camera 10 is connected to external equipment such as a personal computer through a USB terminal 160 and sends and receives data such as images and commands. The camera has a finder lamp 58 and a self- timer lamp 18, a liquid crystal monitor 28, a loud speaker 184, etc., as means necessary for a photographing function and a reproducing function. Those camera-attached means are used in common as an access information presenting means corresponding to an access lamp and when a medium is accessed in the USB mode, the user is informed that communications are in progress through specific display and voice output. |
