The invention relates to an automatic installation with control panel for monitoring and controlling the filtering-washing process for one and, respectively, more filters in the water treatment plants with a view to achieving water potableness. According to the invention, the installation comprises a control panel (1) provided with a programmable automatic apparatus, a colmation indicator (3), a level indicator (4) inside the washing water tank and off/on detector systems (5) for the flushing gates (VAF, VAS, VAB) whose number corresponds to the number of the filters in the water treatment plant. When colmation is detected, provided the presence of the washing water, the programmable automatic machine commands? according to a certain sequence, the starting of compressors, pumps, blowers, as well as the corresponding flushing gates (VAF or VAS or VAB), so that, the filter be capable to perform a new water filtering cycle at the end of the washing process.
