The recycling pump has a double perforated cellular drum (1) in a casing (5) sealed by end plates (19) and enclosed in a screen (2) driven by a motor and reduction drive with a variable speed. The mud fed into the casing is sucked by aspiration chambers (10) and recuperated to be used in the separator of the suction pump. The remainder of the mud which is not to be recycled is returned in the closed circuit and sand is eliminated by an endless screw auger (13) and compressed air.
