The connector for a hub (2) and axle (1) has two rectangular sections (20, 30) which fit into seatings in the components to be connected. The width of the section (30) on the hub can be adjusted according to the width of the seating. This is achieved using parallel longitudinal adjusters (12) between the two sections which are placed against ledges (21a) at the top of the section (20) on the axle. Each adjuster has an inner sloping face (12a), which fits against the ledge, and an outer vertical face (12b).
