EXPANSION JOINT OF BRIDGE AND REPAIRING METHOD THEREOF

PURPOSE: An expansion joint of a bridge and a repairing method thereof are provided to maintain the expansion joint without breaking a non-shrunken concrete by inserting expansion rubber in contacting grooves of the expansion joint. CONSTITUTION: Foreign substances under an upper covering plate(4) are removed after removing a bolt of the upper covering plate. Foreign substances inside an expansion joint are removed after removing the existing expansion rubber between contacting grooves of the expansion joint. A caulking material is spread on a portion to be faced the contacting groove, the upper covering plate and an upper and a center supporting steels(2,13). New expansion rubber(3) is installed between the contacting grooves. The upper covering plate is installed on the upper supporting steel and the center supporting steel. Then, a bolt is combined. Thereby, repairing is finished.
