摘要 PURPOSE:To shorten the stabilizing time of base line and improve reproducibility and detecting sensitivity by mixing a metal oxide powder into a base mainly consisting of carbon paste to constitute a working electrode. CONSTITUTION:Upper and lower cell blocks 4, 5 (insulators) are mutually bonded through a spacer 6, and a passage 7 for sample fluid is formed between them. The potential of a pair electrode 1 is held at a fixed potential with the potential of a reference electrode 3 as a standard by a regulating circuit 8. The ion current of a sample component accompanying electrode reaction is detected by a working electrode 2 and taken out through an amplifying circuit 9. The working electrode 2 is formed by press-fitting a metal oxide, for example, cupric oxide powder 22, to the working surface 12 of a base 21 consisting of carbon paste. Since no complex active spices never directly taking part in detection of copper hydroxide, cuprous oxide and sugars as in the case of copper single electrode is formed on the electrode working surface 12, stabilization of base line is quickened as about 20 minutes.
