PURPOSE: A dewatering apparatus is provided, which can compact sludge by compacting screws consisting of a first compacting part and a second compacting part, dewater even a small amount of sludge and remove sludge attached to holes. CONSTITUTION: The dewatering apparatus comprises the followings: (i) a main body (18) which is composed of a horizontal cylinder (4); (ii) a horizontal cylinder (4) which has a feeding hopper (16) at the top of one side, a discharge line (14) at the top of the other side and many holes on the bottom, in which a rotating shaft (10) is installed, and around which a first taper (38), a second taper (40), and screw knifes (20,22) are fixed; (iii) compacting screws (8) consisting of a first compacting part (32) and a second compacting part (34); and (iv) a brush (41) that is fixed at the bottom of the first compacting part (32) of the cylinder (4).
