SUPPLEMENTARY DEVICE FOR CLOSING TAPPING HOLE OF BLAST FURNACE

PURPOSE: An apparatus for maintaining the instant airtightness during closing of a tapping hole is provided to reduce manufacturing cost of hot metal by preventing the outflow of refractory materials and decreasing the waste of expensive refractory materials during closing of the tapping hole, and reduce surface cleaning load before closing of the tapping hole and prevent closing failure, thereby improving productivity. CONSTITUTION: In a supplementary device (20) for closing a tapping hole mounted on the front tip part of a mud gun closing the tapping hole of a blast furnace using a mud material, the supplementary device for closing a tapping hole comprises a compression member having a hollow part through which the mud material flown out through a tip part of the mud gun is penetrated and flown, and a joining surface joined to the tapping hole surface from the front of the hollow part; and a paper sleeve (21) inserted into and coupled to the hollow part of the compression member and compressed and inserted into the inner side surface of the front tip part of the mud gun, thereby preventing the compression member from being seceded from the front tip part of the mud gun.
