PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a titration solvent that is used for a capacity titration method when water content is measured by the Karl Fischer method, and is especially suitable for the water content measurement of oils such as electrical insulating oil. SOLUTION: In this titration solvent for water content measurement that is used for carrying out titration by a titration agent containing iodine, sulfur dioxide, and a basic compound in the Karl Fischer water content measurement method, hexanol of at least 71 wt.% is contained in the titration solvent.
