PURPOSE: A device for high frequency horizontal oscillation for a mold of continuous casting is provided to simplify the structure for controlling the lubrication between a mould and an ingot by the horizontal oscillation with a high frequency, and reduce the influence of the extension and retraction force applied to a slab solidifying cell by the high frequency oscillation, thereby improving the surface quality of the slab. CONSTITUTION: A device for high frequency horizontal oscillation for a mold of continuous casting includes a mould fixing element(12) for horizontally oscillating a mold with a high frequency by an electromagnet, interval controllable springs(14) mounted between the mould fixing element and supporting dies(17) for limiting a displacement amount of traverse oscillation, and an air bearing(13) mounted between an oscillating frame(11) and the mould fixing element for smoothing traverse motion of the mould fixing element.
