PURPOSE: An apparatus for locking a battery pack of a cellular phone is provided to prevent a locking part of a battery from being broken, and reduce the number of locking part components, by forming an operation groove at the locking part, the groove dispersing external force into two directions. CONSTITUTION: A locking hook of a cellular phone back-case(11) and a locking part(14) of a battery pack(13) are provided for locking and releasing a battery of the cellular phone. The locking part(14) includes a locking knob(14a) for conveying the external force of a single direction, and a coupling plate(14b) connected to the locking knob(14a). An operation groove(15) disperses the external force applied to the locking knob(14a) into the two directions via the coupling plate(14b). A locking projection(14c) and a sloped locking groove(14d) are formed on the upper end of the coupling plate(14b). The locking projection(14c) is fixed at a locking projection(12a) of a locking hook(12) when the battery is locked.
