PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make an article, even in the case it is soft material, capable of suited processing, by individually engaging the article with each engaging member. SOLUTION: This grouping device 1 comprises a first/second circulation running means 5, 7 arranged along a conveying route of a conveyer 4 and a first/second engaging members 6, 8 provided in these first/second circulation running means to be engaged with an article Z conveyed on the conveyer to regulate this article to a speed of each circulation running means. The first/ second engaging members are provided in an equal quantity to the grouped article, it is made to abut individually on each engaging member so as to prevent the articles in a group from abutting on each other.
