DISPLAY DEVICE AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the quality of a display device by automating the connection of panel terminals disposed on the two sides of a liquid crystal display panel and substrate terminals disposed on the two sides of a film substrate on the back of the panel. SOLUTION: A spacer 3 having ruggedness at both side end faces 3a and 3b is previously adhered to the back of a substrate terminal part 2a of the film substrate 2 and fasteners 10 are engaged with the ruggedness at both side end faces of the spacer 3. While the spacer 3 is grasped by the fasteners 10 from both sides, the spacer 3 and the parts near the substrate terminal 2 of the film substrate 2 are turned back and the substrate terminal 2b is disposed to oppose the substrate terminal 2b to the panel terminal 1b. Both are then aligned and press bonded by image processing.
