PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a moving picture edit reproducing device that can edit and reproduce a scenario in unit of scenes by intensively managing the scenario as a set of the scenes with one text file with respect to a method for generating the scenario utilizing multimedia contents in a multimedia field and a reproduction method and an edit method for a moving picture, audio data, an image and document data associated with the scenario generating method. SOLUTION: This invention provides the above task by utilizing a means that generates a scenario consisting of a plurality of scenes to set pages of a document and a reproduction period of moving pictures by pages of document data and a start position and an end position of the digital moving picture data through the use of frame information of moving pictures with a standard reproduction method for the digital moving picture data compressed in compliance with the MPEG system or the digital moving picture data of a file form such as the AVI or the ASF, a means that detects a reproduction position for moving picture reproduction, and a means that reads the scenario in a unit of scenes so as to reproduce simultaneously the pages of the document data and the reproduction period of the digital moving picture data.
