<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To save power consumption by using a control device for an electromagnetic valve of an engine. SOLUTION: In the control device, wherein the opening and closing of a valve element (intake/exhaust valve) energized at a half-opened position by a spring are controlled by passing current through an electromagnet for opening and closing the valve, the determination (S1) of a failure of cranking and the on-off determination (S2) of an ignition switch are made when the engine is stopped. In the case of turning off the ignition switch when the ignition switch is ON and cranking fails, the intake/exhaust valve is maintained in opened or closed condition after suspending an operation for a prescribed term set up based on water temperature and the number of failures of cranking (S3 to S8). Accordingly, initialization is not needed for opening and closing the intake/exhaust valve when the engine is restarted in the case of a stall and an idle stop, and consequently, the engine can be promptly restarted with power consumption saved.</p> |
