PURPOSE: A polyolefin-based resin composition for artificial wood obtained by adding vegetable fiber materials, modified polyolefin resin and a foaming agent to a polyolefin resin is provided. Therefore, the composition has the external appearance of extrudates similar to wood and characteristics suitable for substituting natural wood or ply wood. CONSTITUTION: The resin composition comprises 50 to 75% by weight of polyolefin resin, 20 to 40% by weight of powdery vegetable fiber materials, 2 to 10% by weight of a foaming agent and 3 to 10% by weight of modified polyolefin resin. The powdery vegetable fiber materials are one or more selected from ground rice bran, ground chaff, sawdust, wood powder and ground husks of cereals. |
