PURPOSE: A system and method for searching information is provided to search desired information rapidly and accurately on the internet. CONSTITUTION: An information searching server(20) searches information corresponding to data inputted through an information input device(30), and provides the result to an information input device of a user. The information searching server(20) comprises a database(21) storing a plurality of coded information and a processing device(22) for coding data inputted through the information input device(30) and searching the information stored in a database(21) based on the coded data. The database(21) comprises a managing database(211) for storing data needed for managing a site and a word database(212) storing a plurality of coded information according to field. The processing device(22) comprises a site managing unit(221) for managing a site based on the data stored in the database(211) and performing an interface function for communicating to another device through the site, a data coding unit(222) coding data inputted through the site managing unit(221) and a data searching unit(223) searching information stored in the word database(212) based on the coded data outputted from the data coding unit(222). As the information input device(30), a computer being connected to the information searching server(20) through the internet is used.
