Waste is first loaded into leak proof, uncovered containers (1) that resist temperatures sufficiently. It then passes through a treatment chamber (3) where sterilizing, turbulent plasma is agitated inside the containers. With the waste in a sterile condition, the containers are opened. Before this stage the waste does not come in contact with the environment.
