The unit has an air channel in the roof a vehicle and an air inlet section to conduct air in the air channel. An air collection chamber connected to the air inlet section has an unbranched shape and extends along the centre of the vehicle roof from the back to the middle. Air outlet opening sections (24,25) under the air channel are connected to the air collection chamber to output air in the direction of each rear seat of the vehicle. An air distributor element distributes air from the air inlet section through the air collection chamber to the air outlet sections.
