A method for surface treatment of a contact lens is disclosed, which is directly placed on the eye to be optically corrected by the contact lens. Said contact lens is essentially in contact with the eye over the whole of its one surface and comprises one other surface oriented away from the eye, which is to be worked. The invention is characterised in that a refractive measurement is carried out on the eye, to obtain typical optical correction data for the eye, with the contact lens in position. Furthermore, a laser supported material ablation of the contact lens, which is directly in contact with the eye, is applied, whereby the material ablation of the surface to be worked results in a surface form which lends a surface refractive property to the contact lens, as determined from the optical corrective data. |
