PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid screen indication change operation having been required in conventional navigation device such as changing from two screen indication to one screen indication street, or from wide region map indication to detailed map indication or in the case of progressing from wide road to narrow street during running or reducing speed from high to low speed running, and to avoid a hindrance to driving. SOLUTION: When car velocity decrease below a specific value is detected by the signal from a car velocity sensor in a car running state detector 122, or progressing of car into narrow road is detected with a narrow road progressing detector 128, more proper indication of screen number and screen fraction for the car running state is set such that a map screen forming part 145 in an indication screen number/screen fraction setting part 144 changes a two screen indication to one screen indication with more detailed map or from wide region map indication of large screen to mare detailed map indication on a large screen. |
