PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cooker provided with such a weight sensor that can can accurately detect the weight of a food. SOLUTION: In a microwave oven, a control circuit usually detects six pulse signals while a turntable makes one revolution and detects the weight of a food placed on the turntable based on the detecting intervals t1, t2, and t3 of specific pulse signals. When the six pulse signals are not detected during the period of time corresponding to the one revolution of the turntable, the control circuit retries the detection of the pulse signals and detects the weight of the food placed on the turntable based on the intervals t1, t2, and t3 found from the rotation of the turntable when and after the circuit retires the detection.
