The automatically-controlled applicator of emulsion to fruit has a hands-on screen setting the applicator to the size of the fruit, the degree of waxing by the emulsion and the degree of spraying of the emulsion required. Photocells detecting the volume of inputted fruit can be replaced by load cells. The controlled factors are the conveyor roller speed, and the emulsion spray volume, brushing rate, time and location. Automatic cleaning, and clearing of the residual fruit, is also provided.
