PURPOSE: An infrared sensor and an infrared thermometer is provided which is capable of stabilization of its temperature, and has the infrared sensor, especially a clinical thermometer measuring a temperature inside an ear. CONSTITUTION: A sensor has at least one infrared sensor element(20), at least one heating and/or cooling element(16) and a housing(14) with an infrared transmissive window(12), whereby the heating/cooling element is thermally connected to the window and/or housing. An Independent claim is also included for an infrared thermometer. |
