PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a roof tile holding metal fitting, which has the excellent fixing strength and waterproofness of a roof tile and by which the looseness preventive-effect function of a clamping body is obtained. SOLUTION: The roof tile holding metal fitting 1 is composed of a metal fitting section 2 constituted of a sill plate 5, in which a breadth cross section is molded in a chevron-shaped curved surface, a post plate 6, and a holding plate 7 and a hooking plate 8, a clamping body 3 and a packing 4. A lower-side roof tile is fixed by the sill plate 5 displaying a resilient effect by pushing the post plate 6 and the holding plate 7 of the metal fitting section 2 against the end section of a roof tile and fixing the clamping body 3 onto a batten for holding the roof tile from the inserting hole of the lower-side roof tile, and the inserting hole is sealed by the packing 4 compressed by the clamping body 3 and the sill plate 5.
