PURPOSE: The card consumption power saving apparatus of a personal computer capable of separating/mounting is provided to supply a relevant power by detecting an operation condition of a card inserted into a system, and to perform a ring wake-up function by detecting whether the card inserted is a modem card. CONSTITUTION: A personal computer card(17) is capable of separating/mounting from/to a body of a system and a docking station. A power providing unit(11) provides an utility power of the personal computer card(17). A card bus controller(13) checks whether the personal computer card is mounted, and provides a clock signal, data and a latch in order to provide relevant power to the card(17) mounted. A logic circuit(23) transmits and receives vender information with a system controller(19).
