PURPOSE: A telephone for a call forwarding service is provide to allow a user to be automatically given a call forwarding service when the user does not act a call forwarding service to leave the own home or office by connecting an optical sensor to a telephone. CONSTITUTION: An optical sensor(11) provides an ON signal to a controller(12) in the case of being a certain illumination or below, and provides an OFF signal to a controller(12) in the case of being a certain illumination or more. A memory(13) stores the initial data for converting to a call forwarding service, the telephone number being received at the call forwarding service, and the program data for releasing a call forwarding. A controller(12) sets up a call to the converted telephone number when an output from the optical sensor(11) is ON, and releases the call forwarding when the above output is OFF.
