PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively prevent a wet vapor suction when an operating mode is switched while avoiding a complexation of a refrigerant circuit in a compression type heat pump device for selectively executing a plurality of operation modes by switching a refrigerant route. SOLUTION: The compression type heat pump device comprises a control means 8 for regulating or fully closing an expansion valve 6 or an auxiliary valve 9 of a serial arrangement to the valve 6 to a set opening at a throttling side in the driving state of a compressor 4 when the mode is switched and thereafter switching a refrigerant route.
