PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming system capable of limiting the number of printing sheets allowed to be printed in each user and printing functions allowed to be used in each user as to an image forming system capable of executing printing without passing a printing server. SOLUTION: A header information analysis part 207 analyzes header information prepared by a printer driver 204 and a printing permission judgment part 208 compares the analyzed header information with information stored in printing limitation information 210. In the case of printing by a user permitted to execute printing as a result of the comparison, the judgment part 208 allows a ticket generation part 209 to generate a ticket certifying the user permitted to execute printing. A client PC 200 transmits the ticket to a printer 201 together with data. The printer 201 inspects the authenticity of the ticket on the basis of a ticket number generated by a ticket number generation part 212. The printer 201 prints out only data having a regular ticket.
