PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an animation processing method by which an object can be modified as required using only a small data amount. SOLUTION: Data denoting the shape of each object presented on key frames and data for a modification guide used for modification are prepared at the time of editing of animation data. The modification guide data have only the information of characteristic point positions that specifies the shape of the modification guide. The position information of control points denoting the shape of the object is converted by using a prescribed function that employs a plurality of sets of characteristic point position information of the modification guide to be applied for parameters and the shape of the object after the modification is specified on the basis of the position information of a plurality of points after conversion. Thus, having only to prepare the shape data denoting the original shape of the object and the modification guide data to be applied, animation data to desirably modify the object can be edited.
