PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording device capable of having the pattern table size smaller while maintaining the recording quality. SOLUTION: The device comprises a storing means 23 for storing a dot pattern table for defining a dot pattern corresponding to each gradation with respect to each recording agent. Utilizing the fact that there are some colors whose stripes and irregularity are conspicuous and there are other colors whose stripes and irregularity are not conspicuous according to the visual characteristics of human beings, in the case of executing color recording with recording agents of four colors, the dot pattern size is made larger for the colors whose stripes and irregularity are conspicuous (K, C, M), and the dot pattern size is made smaller for the specific color having a relatively high brightness whose stripes and irregularity are not conspicuous (Y). |
