PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photosensitive heat sensitive recording material for improving an image recording density and a whiteness of a ground skin in the material containing a diazo compound and a coupling component. SOLUTION: In the photosensitive heat sensitive recording material comprising a heat sensitive recording layer containing at least a diazonium salt compound, and a coupler for coupling reacting with the diazonium salt compound on a support, the diazonium salt compound is contained in a microcapsule together with a cationic light initiator.
