PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the generation of any noise at the time of controlling the parameter of a musical sound by a continuously displacing operation element. SOLUTION: A CPU 1 executes a program stored in an ROM 2, and executes edit processing or performance processing according to the mode switch of a switch part 4. At the time of the performance processing, the displacing positions of a pedal 8 continuously displacing according to the operation are detected, and stored in an RAM 3. The operating direction of the pedal 8 is judged according to the detected displacing positions, and a parameter value set by the edit processing is controlled according to the operating direction of the pedal 8. When the operating direction of the pedal 8 is judged as a stepping direction, the parameter value of an issued musical sound is changed according the displacing positions, and transmitted to a DSP 9, and when the operating direction of the pedal 8 is changed from the stepping direction to an opposite direction, the parameter value of the issued musical sound is not changed regardless of the displacing positions. |
