PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for transferring data between devices in a computer system. SOLUTION: In a preferable execution format, a request source device broadcasts a data request. Each of plural devices A0 to Xn, 502 in the computer system responds to the request and indicates the position of the device itself and whether the requested data are included in the device or not. The requested data are transferred from one of devices including the data out of plural devices to the request source device. The device selected in order to transfer the data to the request source device has the logical approach most close to the request source device so that the data are quickly transferred.
