COMPRESSOR COOLING APPARATUS FOR REFRIGERATOR

PURPOSE: A compressor cooling apparatus for refrigerator is provided to improve cooling efficiency of the compressor by improving air permeability of a machinery chamber. CONSTITUTION: A compressor cooling apparatus comprises a machinery chamber(40) having a space for accommodating a compressor(7); a plate condenser(17) mounted in the rear opening of the machinery chamber and which has a plurality of ventilation holes(31) for communicating the machinery chamber toward the outdoor area; a base plate(50) installed in the bottom opening of the machinery chamber and which has the compressor coupled to the portion of the top of the base plate and a plurality of inlet holes(51) formed at the portion coupled to the compressor so as to allow the outdoor air to enter the machinery chamber and cool the compressor; and a side plate(60) mounted in the side opening of the machinery chamber and which has a plurality of outlet holes(61) for discharging the air from the machinery chamber toward the outdoor area.
