PURPOSE: A refrigerator is provided to satisfy the required air volume and reduce noise from the axial flow fan by adjusting relative coupling position of the axial flow fan. CONSTITUTION: A refrigerator comprises a main body(1) having at a cooling chamber(2); a shroud member(5) spaced apart from the rear wall of the main body and which has a fan accommodation opening(6) penetrating through the surface of the shroud member; a grille member(7) mounted within the cooling chamber such that the grille member is spaced apart from the shroud member; and an axial flow fan(11) accommodated into the fan accommodation opening of the shroud member in such a manner that the distance between the grille member and the front end(E) of a fan blade(15) of the axial flow fan becomes 55% to 75% of the distance between the front end of the fan blade to the shroud member. The axial flow fan includes a cylindrical hub(13), plural fan blades arranged along the outer periphery of the hub, and a driving motor(17) coupled to the hub and which rotates fan blades.
