PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a balanced printing result by inserting a blank to a head, an end and between characters of a character string. SOLUTION: A print character string processing module 101 inserts blanks of a suitable number to an end, a head and between characters of a character string based on control data representing a number of blank inserting limit of an upper limit of number of blanks insertable between the printing data, between the characters of the string each made of number of printing digits and a character code of the string to be printed for constituting format data inserted from an input unit 18 through a user interface module 100. The code of the column inserted with the blank is supplied to a print image generating module 102, which generates a printing image based on a character font and the format data stored in a ROM 12 in a printing image memory (RAM) 13. |
