PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a fixing device capable of preventing the occurrence of deviation in image or wrinkling even when recording mediums different is shape are used. SOLUTION: In this device, a guide surface 22a for guiding paper such as A4 size paper and a guide surface 22b for guiding paper such as an envelope are formed on paper guide plate 22, the paper such as the A4 size paper is guided to a nip area 20 between a fixing roll 2 and a pressure roll 3 by the guide surface 22a and paper such as the envelope is guided by the guide surface 22b to the nip range 20 along a of tangent direction of an edge part of the nip area 20.
