PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a composite camera and its cooling method which prevent the degradation in performance of electronic parts and the reduction of the life by resolving the problem that the performance of electronic parts such as an image pickup element and an LSI of a camera main body is degraded or the life early runs out due to heat generated by operation. SOLUTION: A camera case 9 in which a camera body 2 is stored is provided in a camera enclosure which is attached to a ceiling or the like through a camera base 3, so that it can be turned and be freely oscillate in the vertical direction. With respect to this composite camera, an air inlet and an air outlet 9d are opened on the camera case 9, and a cooling fan 10 to discharge air in the camera case 9 is provided in the vicinity of the air outlet 9d, and air is forcibly circulated in the camera case 9 by the cooling fan 10 to efficiently cool an imaging device 4 and electronic parts of the camera main body 2, and therefore, the degradation in performance of the imaging device 4 and electronic parts or early running-out of the life due to heat generated by operation is prevented.
