PRODUCTION OF REGENERATED WOOD USING WASTE PAPER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for inexpensively producing regenerated wood containing no harmful substance (formaldehyde) from waste paper as a raw material by a relatively simple means not using a hot press. SOLUTION: Waste paper is defibration-macerated to form a waste paper pulp slurry. Then the waste paper pulp slurry is formulated with a non- formaldehyde resin emulsion and a flocculant to flocculate and precipitate the resin on the surface of pulp. Then this system is filtered, separated water is removed, a cake obtained by filtration is further pressed, water is removed as much as possible and the cake is dried.
