PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate mounting of a side sill cover. SOLUTION: In this mounting structure, welding flanges 44, 45 at which outer body plates 42, 43 are joined to the bottom of a vehicle body are projected downwards and a downwardly and vertically extending terminal 46 formed in the lower portion of a side sill 2 is laid on the tops of the welding flanges 44, 45, with the tip of the terminal 46 formed into a bent part 47 which is bent approximately horizontally. A side sill cover 3 mounted on the surface of the side sill 2 is formed into an approximately L shape having an upright wall part 10 and a bottom wall part 11, and a vertical mounting seat 17 is provided for connecting the upright wall part 10 integrally with the bottom wall part 11. The top of the inclined face part 20 of the vertical mounting seat 17 is formed into an upper mounting part 4 provided with a clip 7 and engaged into a mounting hole 36 formed in the side sill 2. A lower mounting part 6 includes an upright wall part 24 formed by bending the lower end of the inclined face part 20 downward and laying it on top of the terminal 46, and a mounting leg 25 formed by bending the tip of the upright wall part 24 approximately horizontally and laying it on the underside of the bent part 47, with the mounting leg 25 sandwiched between a fixture 50 and a body side member. The fixture 50 has a pair of elastic walls 51, 52 provided with respective pawls 57, 58, which are engaged with the locking step 27 of the mounting leg 25 and with the bent part 27 and locked in place.
