PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten distance between both camshafts at the same time arraying on the same side of the engine phase-changing device for air intake camshaft and that for exhaust camshaft. SOLUTION: This valve system has phase changing device for intake camshaft 13 and that for exhaust camshaft 14 on the same side of engine. Input parts 14a of phase changing device for intake camshaft 14 is connected to crank shaft by timing belt. Output parts 14b of phase changing device for exhaust camshaft 14 is connected to exhaust camshaft 12. Input parts 13a of phase changing device for intake camshaft 13 is connected to exhaust camshaft 12 by chain 19. Intake camshaft 13 is connected to output parts 13b of phase changing device for intake camshaft 13. Timing belt is attached to pulley 21 universally supported to outer circumference of phase changing device for intake camshaft 13.
