PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solidify a radioactive iodine to a stable compound for a long period. SOLUTION: An Na2S is added to a waste silver adsorptive material 1 containing a radioactive iodine, and the iodine is desorbed at a step 2 by reduction. Then, a liquid and a solid are separated at a step 3. A liquid phase 5 is oxidized by an ozone to prepare an iodic acid ion 7, a cement material 8 is added, kneaded and solidified at a step 9 to a kneaded solid 10. As the material 8, a material having adsorbability of anion and containing a large quantity of a mineral (monosulfate, ettringite) is used. Thus, when the material is embedded in an underground deep layer, it is not affected by coexisting ion (Cl or the like) in underground water, but the material can be solidified to a stable compound for a long period.
