<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve ignition property and combustibility in a combustion device employing a catalytic combustion portion. SOLUTION: A catalytic combustion portion 4 comprises a honeycomb layer 15 wound in spiral form and protruded to a downstream side, which consists of a flat plate and a corrugated plate. A plurality of high temperature heating bodies are spirally exposed at the corners of the spirally disposed honeycomb layer 15. At the positions, a gasified fuel which has passed through the catalytic combustion portion 4 and secondary air are mixed to ensure ignition at an early stage. After ignition, the secondary air which has been blown in from a secondary air diffusing port 9 collides with the catalytic combustion portion 4 to permit generation of a turbulent flow, and therefore a uniformed combustible mixed gas is produced to improve combustibility.</p> |
